Hidden away in the BBC archives is this gem of a feature from 1973 when there was an attempt to celebrate the Beatles and Merseybeat.
This is the only TV interview with original Beatles drummer Tommy Moore!
Don’t miss it.
Back from pounding the streets of Hamburg, I am back on the streets of Liverpool with the latest in my walking tours.

I am writing this from Hamburg where I celebrated Stuart’s birthday yesterday, passing near to the house where he sadly died in 1962.
But I wanted to celebrate his life, so I out together this short video of the places he lived in Liverpool and how John and the Beatles became part of his life.
In my latest walking tour clip, I take the walk that Brian Epstein took on 9th November 1961 to the Cavern Club.

When The Beatles went down to EMI Studios on 6th June 1962, were they under contract or was it an audition?
This was the day that would change the story of the Beatles forever. It would lead to the Beatles obtaining their recording contract from Parlophone and working with George Martin.
It also led to the end of the road for Pete Best in the Beatles.
Examine the evidence with me now in this video.

On 20th May I flew out to Germany with Rod Davis from the Quarrymen.
Rod, like many people, didn’t realise that I play guitar and sing a bit too! So he suggested that ge would do a talk with songs, I would do my talk, and then we would sing some songs together. What an honour that was for me and we had so much fun too!!
Have a look at the video I’ve just uploaded to our YouTube channel and I hope you forgive the camera work from those watching and my singing too!
The first photos that Brian Epstein commissioned of the new Fab Four were taken on waste ground in north Liverpool.
Little did John know of the significance of the location.
