Inside Julia Lennon’s House

I had the opportunity to take a look inside 1 Blomfield Road, home to Julia Lennon, her partner John “Bobby” Dykins and their daughters Julia and Jackie.

John, of course spent a lot of time there with his mother and family. It was here that Julia taught John how to play banjo chords on his guitar, and so much more.

Come inside with me now:

  1. A real piece of history during the early life of John Lennon. It looks like the house is being renovated here, unlike Mendips and Forthlin Road which are shown as they were in the period. The film ‘Nowhere Boy’ was very enjoyable in my opinion…

  2. Looks like the house had some possibly original kitchen units sat waiting for removal. May be from when Julia lived in the house as they looked 50,s or 60,s design!
